Need-Based Scholarship

We believe cost should never be the reason a dancer misses the room. Tell us your story — we read every application.

Before You Apply

ASH grants a limited number of Need-Based Half-Scholarships at each event of the 26·27 Season. To be considered, all of the following must be true:

You must already be registered. Your studio must have you on its ASH registration — or you must have completed an Independent registration — before we can apply a scholarship. We cannot apply a scholarship to a registration that does not exist.
Apply by your event's Early Bird Discount Deadline. Each event has its own deadline. Pick your event below and yours will appear.
Your application must demonstrate true financial hardship. Scholarships are need-based, not merit-based.
Mini Movers are not eligible. Need-Based Scholarships are available to Artists in Training, Intermediate, and Advanced dancers only.

Need-Based Scholarship Terms

A Need-Based Scholarship cannot be combined with a merit-based scholarship earned at a previous ASH event.
A Need-Based Scholarship cannot be combined with the multi-city discount.
Scholarships are non-transferable between students. A scholarship granted to one dancer cannot be moved to another.
Scholarships are granted for one event only and apply to convention registration.
Scholarships are calculated on the Regular Rate. ASH does not combine scholarships with Early Bird or any other discount.
